Looks like another hurricane! 100mph winds here are more destructive than tropical or sub-tropical areas because cold air is denser...glad I have the day off because gotta prepare! I have a tie down on a lake where she barely wiggles. I take nothing for granted though! Gotta go!

Wind starting up

Pulled the wing, tail and windshield covers off the plane...wind is beginning to build. Am tied down on the lake. Dick N5207M

jim and dick hope this wind isnt as bad as last year.I thought i lost it for shure at anderson lake. now im at willow airport tied in the trees. JIM i wint and looked at my buddys cub replaca that crashed on your lake sunday total loss at least he walked away!!!

Hi Lance! Hopefully the worst is over...barometer has dropped an inch and things are mellowing. had gusts 80 or better last night. That did not make for a good nights sleep! Drove by Anderson strip and saw that an experimental Cub had significant damage...wing and prop. I am happy with where I am at On the North side of the lake. It barely wiggles. Still high anxiety!

I heard through the "grape vine" about the Cubby. What can you tell me about it?

Jim I heard from mark that he lost power on take off and he made it back to the lake . Looks like he hit the ice nose first then the left wing and gear. he just brused his legs a little could of been worse!! He just finished putting that plane together last spring new everything.
