Not many people know this but I hold the record for speed gold panning in NC. When I first started in the compition the record was in the 29 sec area, in I think my 7th year of winning I got the record @ 4.2 seconds ( I think that was the number). I have also come in 2nd? place in the world comp.
I stopped doing the NC contest after I won the 10th time and decided to let somebody else win until they got my record.
It doesn't mean anything that I can do it that fast unless you are in the contest and it seems the there were always the same people going for it.Comment
