Long extension cord

Was doing some checks on my hi-tech home outside power meter to see how much power was used by different devices, originally on a new refrigerator. I knew about how much a kilowatt hour costs and I got to thinking: did some calculations---

Turns out that if I could plug my BC-12D85 into a wall outlet and supply power to it that way it would run me about $7 an hour as opposed to $27 and hour as it does now.

That is at 846 watts per horsepower and 80% efficiency on the "electric" motor.

But how much would that electric motor weigh and I know for a fact I have burned up a number of 50 to 125 hp electric motors. Now if you could use some of the new motors they are coming out with and if they get their crap together on batteries, then you would have something

I think on motors we are way ahead of the batteries. The batteries are coming along, but it is going to be a while. I'll see if I can find the reference to the small Datsun sedan that turns 10's and (120?) in the quarter.

That's gotta be fun. I hadn't noticed the nose coming up like that before. There is one of the original installation when he is driving it around town. Just kinda hummmmmmmm.

That is a Datsun 1200 and I think the electric motor is about 350 HP. Girlfriend had one same white, I rebuilt the transmission.
