    Hello Friends!!!

We are announcing our Low and Slow Fly In at Flabob Airport, CA... KRIR.... to be held May 17-19. We have attached a printable notice and calendar posting request for your publications and it's calendar of upcoming events.

Here's the deal. In past years, due to everything we already know, attendance at Fly In's has been steadily declining...Flabob Aeronca Fly-In included. Since Flabob is an ideal place for a large event of this kind, we have elected to make it an OPEN Fly-In for similar type airplanes, pilots and friends. This way, everyone can come to an enjoyable place in Southern CA for a weekend of fun, camaraderie and fantastic low and slow flying!

We welcome and prefer arrivals on Friday the 17th, and in fact, encourage them, by enticing all by buying you a lasagna dinner with all the fixin's. Saturday morning, the 18th, continental breakfast... (COFFEE INCLUDED!!!!,) Flour Drop and Spot Landing Contests (Running concurrently) starting at 11 AM..... cheap hamburgers/hot dogs and trimmings for lunch, a possible late afternoon safety seminar (Depending on interest...) and an informal 'Awards' dinner.... (Home-made Mexican Fiesta) with fun trophy presentations intermixed with winning raffle tickets. (We will have LOTS of goodies to raffle off!) Sunday is breakfast at our cafe on the airport, and fly home day.

We have great under-wing camping at Flabob with modest facilities, as well as a first-class state run campground across the road, should you want to bring an RV. Downtown Riverside is 1 1/ 2 miles away, and we can arrange for transportation to and from the local hotels there if needed. We have a GRASS landing area, and it's ideal for our types of airplanes. We're currently working it to make it even better!

Historic Flabob Airport... www.flabob.org is rich in aviation history, both locally and nationally. It houses EAA Chapter 1and The Flabob Chapter of the Antique Airplane Association, who hosts the Flabob Flying Circus... www.flabobflyingcircus.org ... as well as a large community celebration with thousands of visitors on Veteran's day. We're in an area of the city where we're 'out of the way' and don't get much attention, which is both good and bad. We have the beautiful backdrop of Mt. Rubidoux, and have the perfect shaded picnic area and facilities for this kind of event.

May weather here is generally good to excellent... and we're hoping for wx the same this year. We can handle lots of airplanes, as we had over 100 for the Flying Circus in September 2012... and we're wide open to that many or more. There's lots of grass for tie-down's and camping!

Thank you for your time and consideration. Our whole success depends on everyone's cooperation, attendance and support. The fly-in's website www.lowandslowflyin.com has a section with info and registration. We'd sure appreciate as many advanced registrations we can get, so that we have a head count for food planning, t-shirts, etc.

We look forward to hearing back from you... and please send us a copy of your magazine when you print our fly-in notice. We support an 'earlier is better' position when posting for upcoming events. Please tell everyone that we welcome any questions and calls of interest, as we're here to help.

    Blue skies and tailwinds!!!
