    Dick

Those names are all familiar, but it has been ten years since I have been on the ground in Iliamna. After my time there I got a job flying contract work for the State of Alaska and Forest service out of McGrath and FAI. Later I moved on to an AirAmbulance company that flew out of Seattle to Alaska and back. My dream was to get on with Alaska AIrlines and move back to ANC with my Taylorcraft, but that didn't work out. I miss Alaska and would love to go back, but the industry has forced me to take a diffrent path. I put my little bird in a hangar and there it has sat for most of ten years. It was waiting for me to achieve my career goal. Over the past year I have been cleaning it up and searching for parts to get it flying again. I started in an Anc flight school with 5 other co-instructors. We were friends and planned to follow each other throught the years and job changes. Three of the 5 died in plane crashes in AK. Myself and mike are still alive, and he left aviation in 93. I am the last one. The guy who took my job at Iliamnna Air Taxi when I left crashed and killed himself. At my very next job the guy who took my place there killed himself in the plane too. It is a ruff business. I miss it though. I think about it everyday.

This is off the subject but plenty of Alaska Taylorcraft owners post here. I have a friend who lost his medical over 30 years ago. He owned an Aeronca 15AC in Arizona. Naturally he has fond memories and recently told me he would like a picture of the AC.

      Aeronca 15AC

FAA records show the registration is valid. Does anyone know Mr Eaddy and if this is a good address to correspond with him.

        Will keep trying!

Lloyd, I just left a message on Mr. Eaddy's answering machine. If I do not hear back I will keep trying.
