  • Crispy Critter Update

I know it doesn't sound like much but after being under the weather with a bug for the past few days I decided I had to get off my butt and do a little something before I went nuts...So I went out to a nice little corner of the shop where I had a clean bench and a comfy stool, grabbed a gear leg and covered it. Its the first time i've touched Crispy in about a year. Between trying to keep up with shop work, teenage daughters, and helping dad finish his C170, I just ain't had time to work on it. Anyway, one gear leg covered, I think I'll do the other in the morning and brush the first coat of nitrate on them. It really felt good to work on an airplane that I really wanted to be working on,lol. I think this little tid-bit of accomplishment might just be the motivation I've been needing to get me back on track with it.

Kevin, I am in the same boat here. However I just bought a Smith Mini Plane that has sat abandonned in a hanger for 15 years. So pore old Taylorcraft won't be getting much work this winter either.

Chuck, I was already thinking about it, I think all the t-craft just kinda pushed me over the hump,lol.... Larry, I've owned a couple smith mini's over the years. Good flying little biplanes, very responsive.
