Float question

I seem to remember seeing somewhere something about needing larger tail feathers when floats are added- anything to this or was I dreaming?

Use the term "ventral fin" in the search box...it will give you some good info. I made 15 takeoffs and landings yesterday on 1400 floats...had plenty of control from the tailfeathers(the ventral fin is not required on my BC12D-85. I would like more power! Dick
