I'm getting concerned with the violent swings in temperature of my iron as I attempt to tighten fabric. Second hand irons from Goodwill.

Some time ago, I found this information on irons....

This information is for anyone who's going to cover their aircraft, but does not have a iron that meets the criteria required for tightening the polyester fabric. The Black & Decker Classic Iron,(now has the automatic turn off feature). The only clothing iron that I finally found that met all of the required features was a Rowenta Autosteam Model DZ1500. This was after purchasing and exchanging at least six different Irons. I purchased the iron at LOWE'S Home Improvement Center
