    Help once again.
How do I go about finding a coil and capacitor for an eisman mag?
Any help to keep an old bird flying?

    Thanks

Check with this outfit. They rebuild Eisemanns. They did mine.

FRESNO has all the parts for these mags. The coils are usually what goes bad...about 150 bucks each. Usually any GOOD A&P can fix them. 1930's technology. JC

Any chance those three Eisemann mags are still kicking around ? Are they AM-4 or LA-4 ? Impulse couplings ? Thanks , Gene

I want to rebuild mine also but I called Fresno a few days ago and they have all the parts except the points. They have coils, bushings, etc but I hate to tear mine down and not put in points. Anybody know where I can buy two sets of points and two condensors for the LA4?

My suggestion is to see if you can find any oil INSIDE the mag.

If so the Oil seal is probably the cause.

Unfortunately; on an Eiseman the area the seal contacts

may well be worn to the point a new Oil Seal won't fix the

                        issue.

Bendix S-20's have a sleeve the seal contacts that is

                        replaceable.
