  • Barber Airport (2D1) Alliance Ohio happenings

We are still here. It was a hectic Spring . We still have Taylorcraft tribe folks stopping by and getting parts & information many just show up and we do the best to help them out. WE ahve been quite busy with projects; three tandems being restored in the area. Two BC12D's , the WACO 9, the Welsh, an American Eagle too!! check out::

for the lastest on the 9 . I flew her Friday the 13th , whewww , what a day.

From my news group at 2D1: You snooze you lose ; we had big day on Friday the 13th. The day started off bad ; we lost HOBO , the airport dog to a big truck on the highway. Hobo is buried next to Kelli-Belle on the area south of the pond.

Then Brian Matz & I had an learning experience on a photo mission. Landed safely .

Went into Sarchoine's Motor sales and did an interview with the Alliance review on the "Alliance Automobile" .
Back out to the airport where we flew the WACO 9 of Frank Pavliga for its first test flight since 1937 . All went well and we have video to prove it. Whew that was fun , first time PIC behind an OX-5 .......

Our Native American Lodge is doing well , they are working in the back.

Then we are looking at the BIG Auction on Sat May 19th at Firebird Aviation . go to: http://www.starmanauctions.com/Past%...bird%20Ent.pdf

Bring lots of money , I have flown two of those ships maybe three. Will be out running between rain drops.... bye Forrest
