  • is it worth changing

One would think after viewing all the threads on shock cord instillation I could not screw it up. When installing the cords we put the first cord on with the bottom of the cords to the outside of the gear fingers. the second cord was installed with the cord going between the first one. All the pictures I have seen show the second cord on the outside of the first. The safety cable is installed where it is suppose to be. I would change it but trying to take off fresh cords without cutting them or losing a finger is probably not a option. Mechanically I can see no difference. Any thoughts?

    Re: is it worth changing

I would share your opinion mechanically, but defer to those more knowledgable. Here's a picture of mine, replaced just last weekend. Blues were on first, reds last. The bungee cover tab was bent in the process of "manipulating" the cords and restored to its original position after the picture was taken. The overlapped cords didn't change much (to become side by side) after 3 landings, but I presume will, in time.
