I'm on Kaua'i for a week...any Tribe members around? I saw a C-170 and a Glastar Sportsman while the 737 was taxiing in. We had about 2 feet of snow on the lake when we left...this (Kaui'i) is pretty nice. Dick

Re: Any tribe member in Hawaii?
I've seen a Taylorcraft on the KONA side of thr Big Island, I go to Maui each summer I have checked the FAA records which show an owner on Maui. I got ahold of him and found out that the AC is located in the SW waiting for him to retire and then to be restored. I believe the FAA registration also shows several on Oahu. I don't recall and beeing registered on Kauai.
Enjoy Kauai.L Fries

Re: Any tribe member in Hawaii?
Back in Alaska...glad to be home, but there is a bit of "shock" involved. The sunrise picture was taken from the deck at our hotel...the other pix are of the "homecoming"! Enjoyed the break and enjoyed witnessing the vows betweenf Son Number 4 and a precious new daughter-in-law. Saw a lot of aviation activity...mostly helicopters hauling tourists. First time on Kauai'i and The Big Island of Hawaii. Our family has been in Alaska for 43 years and I love it, but my long-suffering "Better Half" wouldn't have much trouble spending about 9 months of the year in "the Warm"! We have a lot of snow and winter's not over. Hope to do some ski flying in the morning...dug out, plugged-in and ready to go. Got snowshoes and shovel in the plane...wouldn't be surprised to find overflow conditions. Any Alaska tribe members...don't fly over without stopping by...coffee's on. Hope to see Jim Hartley's bird before long...we ought to check out the other side of the Inlet...see if the cabin project survived the snow.
