Shinn wheel bearings

Where do you get bearings for the Shinn wheels? Is the inboard bearing on the T-Craft wheels the same as both bearings on the Luscombe (straight axle) wheels?

Read the part number stamped on the bearing and order from a bearing supply house or order fron Univair.

I suggest Univair (they probably hav eth epart number in their book).

You can also use the search function of this forum and you will come up with a lot of information on bearings, including part numbers if you cannot read yours.

If you have the numbers on the bearings, you can probably go to Motion Industries and get the very same bearing a lot cheaper. Marv

I will second that, and if you bump your nose let me know, I have a friend that works there in the Rockford branch and he is a wizz coming up with out of the norm stuff. Of course he has been there for well over 20 years too. L

here they are:

08231 inner race
08125 inner bearing

A6162 outer race
A6075 outer bearing

servicing by cleaning and greasing wheel bearing is preventative maintenance, replacing them in not preventative maintenance

if this surprises you read part 43 appendix A c(4)
