Did the seller own a pre war Taylorcraft currently or some time in the past. I remember seeing it at Columbia.

Maybe the owner before the guy I got it from. I bought this one from the insurance company. The guy who had it then did have it long. The story I was told was that he was not yet a pilot but had lots of flight training and lots of solo time,however none in tailwheels and was trying to teach himself. He ran off the runway at a fast taxi and caught the right gear leg on a runway marker sign causing what I consider to be very minor damage.....took us all of 3 hours to repair it plus whatever time we spent putting it all back together.
