  • Taylorcraft Registry, Reminder

    Hey guys,

Not to be the forum police, but.....the Taylorcraft Registry I thought was just supposed to be about the owner's plane and any updates the owner posted. This is what it says at the top of the registry page, but apparently the replies are not getting deleted by whomever can do so: Registry of Members Taylorcraft Airplanes. please post only about yours, Replys and comments will be deleted.

I recently noticed a thread where the owner posted info about his serial number and it is starting to get responses. I thought the only info was supposed to be about the plane by the owner.

I found I also posted to Ryan Newell's post after others started posting on it. I didn't notice it was the registry. If I can I am going to delete my posts.

Try to start a new thread or PM so we can keep the registry 'clean'.

Not here to upset folks, I just noticed this myself and thought I would bring it to the attention of my fellow forum members.

Because the registry was specifically created to talk about one own's airplane, give a little history, etc. If it is a restoration others can see the progress and the owner can post pictures and comments as it goes on. If there are any questions they can contact you via PM. Or, if you want someone to comment on your airplane, just post it in another section of the forum.

If comments were allowed it would start to get too long and you would miss the info on the specific airplane. You can repost and comment all you want anywhere else on here.

Not my idea, just trying to follow the 'rules'.

        Marty,

Reading your post about replying to posts on the registry made me want to go back and admire the pictures everyone has posted of their plane. It even made me edit my posting of my airplane. I added a few of the specifications. As I was going down the list, admiring the great craftsmanship that goes into restoring these great planes, I noticed that there were only two that had replies and those replies were from the original poster adding more pictures of their planes. Unless I am missing a page of postings with other replies, the only ones I saw were from the original poster.

          Richard,

I was able to delete my posts last week, but apparently the powers-that-be got around to deleting the comments. There were a bunch of replies to Ryan Newell's post, but those are now gone.

I have to get around someday to posting my plane, thanks for the reminder.
          Cheers,
          Marty
