  • Another Fun Day at Deer Pasture

Thanks again to Terry "Barnstormer" Bowden, this crowd of shady characters spent a fun day doing annual inspections and swapping lies...
    Enjoy the photos.
Only Four Taylorcrafts, or is it Taylors craft, or possibly Taylorcraftses... Whatever the plural happens to be, Next meeting at Deer Pasture there should be double this number... (you know who you are)
The Curtiss Robin did not get any attention this trip, but Lon Carr's excellent '39 with its one door and round control wheels was a pleasure to work on.

And just a few more photos.
The castle is Northwest of Burnet, Texas - not your average ranch house.

Now here is something to be proud of -- Just a few short years ago, Lon (The guy in the railroad overalls - see previous post) passed his private pilot check ride in his own '39 including the hood-work. The '39 is in nearly perfect condition, but considering that Lon was a no kidding real railroad mechanic he obviously knows his way around the tool box.
