Enjoyed the fly-in this weekend at Fort Parker Flying Field, TX. One other Taylorcraft showed up - Jerry Shelton brought his L2M from Corsicana. Had a great time... but had a bad mag drop on runup yesterday as we were about to start home. We ended up tying down overnight and came back today with another mag. Here's a video taken today by the field owner Jed Keck. This is me in N95598 taking off after replacing the R magneto. Gorgeous weekend... great flying.

Re: Video - N95598 Takeoff
Great pictures and video. Now I wish I had gone. It would have been very tight getting back to San Marcos in daylight though. I have not tried a night landing in the Tcraft with no electrics!
I got the email last night that Recklaw Flyin for 2011 has been cancelled due to fire hazard. You might have made the last flyin of the year!
