  • Flipping my tailfeathers

I'm stitching my tail feathers and it's amazing the number of times I find myself flipping the horizontal stabilizer. Any hints to be more efficient? Mastered the modified seine knot! Mike

Support it vertical. At end of table between two "cinder" blocks, padded, and at the opposite end you are working on. Anything like that. Slotted support jig. ect. pick one.

I made a slotted support jig that I can set on a table or the floor. Works great and makes it soooo much easier. Are you using one of the many versions of the hidden knots?

I'm using the modified Seine knot. I learned it initially about four years ago in a Jim/Dondi course and got pretty good at it, but had to relearn it for this go-around.
Could you describe a "slotted support Jig"? - Mike
PS - this first piece looks like a patchwork quilt! Some silver dollar patches to cover single stitches, others to reinforce the grommet hole, still others to reinforce the attach point where the flying wires attach.

I use the black and decker ajustable work bench.
