Well, in about an hour and a half from writing this post, Hans Holfmier will be landing at his home base in BC Canada.
Thoes who have been following his adventures know that he had to postpone his trip after arriving in Greenland via Patigonia SA.
After spending a couple of nights here, we were honored with some of his stories of adventure. One which split our guts was, while visiting with the local culture, their hospitality and enjoying the food and drink. Then at about 2PM all headed for the local swiming hole and Hans, likes to swim. . After swimming for about an hour, back to lounge and feed. Around 5PM and afew beers later, Hans was ready for another swim. Walking toward the water and about to dive in they told him that it is not a very good idea to go in swimming after 5PM because the Aligators!
Hans said; that his heart stopped when he thought about being in there with them and they did not tell him before going in. They say, that they lay under logs and sleep and won't do much if bumped. No more swim there!
I do not know of anyone else taking a 1946 65hp TATLORCRAFTand flying from Southern Canada to South, South America up the Atlantic side all the way to Greenland and back to BC, Canada.
This has got to be a record!
Mr. C G TAYLOR would be proud! As , I'm sure we all are!
