  • Looking for N36117

I am looking for this acft because it was the first acft my father ever flew. He passed away in Oct of last year and i just found his logbook. The FAA regisrty shows it still in service. I would like to speak to the current owner about possiblty buying it or at least getting some pictures of it, Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Lloyd Perkins

I would search for the registered owner on Google to try and find a number or e-mail, maybe he is on Facebook, etc. Otherwise, snail mail to the registered address. Pretty simple stuff.
    Cheers,
    Marty

He is on Facebook with a picture of his plane in the background. Send him a message, or send me your contact info and I will do it for you.

Lloyd, I sent him a short note about your situation and gave him your name and number. Let me know if you want me to send him anything else.

I own 36117. The picture on my facebook page is of 44008. I'll post some pictures of it later today. I flew it just last Thursday My dad bought 36117 about 16 years ago I think...I took ownership last year, I also own 26559 (1940 Taylorcraft BC65), 44008 (1946 BC12D-85), 96608 (1946 BC12D), 32746 (1940 J3 Cub)...my wife thinks I'm crazy. The Cub and the BC65 are projects if that makes it sound any better

I love technology!!!!Any chance i could give you a hand cleaning one of those many cool airplanes that you are lucky enough to own? Most specifcally N36117? I have a good home for it here in VA, and i would be willing to let you fly it every time you get down this way.

                Thanks,

My e-mail is [email protected]. Any pics would be greatly appreciated. If you have any from around 1955 or so that would be even better.

Thanks, Lloyd, I'm glad I could help. The world is a smaller place with the internet, and here Dano was here all the time!

I just happen o have received a picture of it from around 1955 from a previous owner last year....he contacted me, then sent me a picture....I will have to dig it out.
36117 is the white and red plane in these pictures.
