Great video Jim! I was just looking at these cameras on the web last week. Some cub driver friends have the same camera and give it positive reviews (see supercub.org thread). I think I'm sold and need to pick one up. Where did you get yours ... local or order from elsewhere?
I've been commuting back and forth to work with the tcraft for the past 6-weeks, but haven't had much time to get out and play ... I envy your trip to Polly Creek / Fossil Point and up the Knik. Hope we can get together someday on a trip.
Hi Rod,
Yes, I would recommend the camera. I ordered mine from B&H Photo in New York City. The little wrist-band remote sold me...no wires.
My plane is at the A&P to get the floats on. Let's get you on floats and go play! Otherwise, we make a trip this Fall when the wheels go back on. Enjoy the world's coolest, best commute!
I looked at the GOPRO and they are good cameras. My dad uses one inside his cockpit all the time. I went with the Drift because of the remote option. I wanted to put the camera outside the airplane and GOPRO doesn't have a remote option at this time. If you're going to keep the camera inside the GOPRO is a good option. (Unless you have figured out how to crawl out on the strut in flight...then you could mount it externally!
