Uh-oh ... surrounded by bears

Well, really just cubs, but I suspect some of them are definitely on steroids!

These pics were taken yesterday evening during an impromptu fly-in up at Knik Glacier. I believe there was a total of 27 airplanes that showed up … mostly Supercubs, but also including a couple Maules, a Citabria, a Champ, a J-3, my lonely T-craft, and towards the end of the evening, a Cessna 180.

Many were from out-of-state and almost all are planning to attend the Valdez Fly-In and Air Show this coming weekend.

The cubs were nice to me and didn’t even bite.

Rod,

You won't be alone much longer, They guys are going to replace the faulty REAL
GASKETS and hopefully I can get in the air this afternoon.
I am quite excited, although the guys are waiting to give me the final bill. The best fun I have had.

I too like it!! Wish I was there. This rain in OHIO is really working on me.... thanks for the updates in Alaska.
