  • Gas Cap/Guage

Does anyone know where to find this style of gas cap/guage? It is worn out like a lot of things on my bird.

Looks a lot like what I have on the oil tank in the basement...

I have the same gauge on my fuel oil tank. If you cannot get a new one for the airplane, maybe you could get a new one for a fuel oil tank and use parts for a repair. I am not sure this type is available anymore though. Marv

Is this the guage that you are looking for? I'm not too sure about the 1-1/2" MPT threads, but who knows, maybe you could adapt it.

That sure looks like it, the F19 had the guage inside poking up through the dash. I will measure the tank and get a better idea, perhaps I might install the fitting on the tank this winter when I tear her down for painting.

Spruce has the Rochester guage with the newer style float , we used the cork float on the F-19 way back then.

I have this same gas gauge on my 41 deluxe. Am I to understand that this is not original? If so, what was original equipment in 1941? Anyone got a picture?
