Jim- I'm looking forward to the event and plan to bring my red and white 1941 Taylorcraft. I enjoyed the event last year... grass runway, great camping areas, great fly-outs, great food, good weather and all the wonderful people. It was just a nice relaxing weekend and Matt McFarlane is a good host. See you in May!!

I look forward to seeing you all there. Matt McFarlane is contacting those who attended last year by email and since he has limited access to the internet he asked me to forward the email he sent me to the forum.
Hello everyone,
Well, It's warming up outside and the grass is turning green so I think it's time for a flyin!! We are planning on doing the Taylorcraft flyin again this year at the "McFarlane Field" May 27-29th. If you are able to come please e-mail me back and I will send you all the info on the strip and a picture from google earth. You can come as early as you want, I know that there will be a few flying in as early as Friday morning. Stay as long as you would like. We will be doing a tri-tip BBQ Saturday for lunch and inviting a lot of our friends from around the area just like last year. We plan on flying out to breakfast in the mornings also if people want too. There will be a BBQ grill at the hanger that anyone can use and tables and chairs will be available too. To those who do not want to camp, I can give you a ride to and from a hotel. I have a friend that owns a hotel in town and will give us a good deal, just let me know. One thing different this year from last year is that we are going to be e-mailing you a "release of liability" form at the same time I send the info on the strip too. Our insurance guy strongly recommended that we do that because it is a private airfield. I hope you all understand. I am really looking forward to another great flyin with great weather. If anyone has any questions at all e-mail or call anytime. If I am forgetting anyone, please send me an e-mail address or phone # or just forward them this e-mail. Thanks, see you all soon.
Bad weekend for me. A wedding to attend on Saturday and another on Sunday. If its later on Saturday I may try for friday afternoon and the night and head home friday morning.
I'm still a maybe, but might as well sign a waiver just in case.. if someone could please send me one to [email protected] I'll get er signed and sent off. Thanks...
Joe
As a further treat this same weekend the Hollister Airshow is going on and Dr. D will be doing is Clipped-wing aerobatics routine which is real fun to watch http://www.hollisterairshow.com/performers.htm. It is only about 50 miles away and I am thinking about flying over on Sunday morning to catch the show.
Cheers
Jim
Well the West Coast Taylorcraft Rendezvous is only a week away... I hope to see a lot of Taylorcrafts there. I always learn something new when I attend.
Last year we had 10 taylorcrafts attend... maybe we'll do better this year. With all the Taylorcrafts on the West Coast we should!
I will try to post pictres. My apologies to Joseph Sivils for not getting a picture of your Taylorcraft.
Great Fly In Field and Great Host
