  • Sun-N-Fun

This Alaska flyer has come to Florida to thaw out at Sun-N-Fun. My dad and I will be there Tuesday thru Thursday. Do T-Crafters have any activities planned? Can we set up a rondezvous point somewhere (maybe the beer tent?). Forrest, are you going to be there to impart your wisdom on the more youthful Taylorcraft brethren (fyi...I turn 50 in May)? Please fill me (us) in on any planned activities. Otherwise, I'll be walking around looking for Taylorcrafts parked in the camping areas and striking up conversations.

Hope to see some of you there!

    Re: Sun-N-Fun

    Hi,

Not sure who you are, (no name listed), but I will be flying down with a friend's L-2. Leaving either tomorrow or Monday, weather dependent. I don't think Forrest is going to be there and he hasn't answered me as to whether or not there is a Taylorcraft meeting place. My first time there so not sure what to expect, but I am sure we will be around, and around the plane from time-to-time. Not sure how many other L-2's will be there but if there is only an M model there, it should be ours. Come by and say 'hey'.
    Cheers,
    Marty

        Hi Chuck,

I'm not doing the flight planning, just doing most of the flying. I will let him know, though.
        Cheers,
        Marty

Well, bad news. The L-2 is having some mag issues, and possible carb issues to go along with the mag issues. I will not be going this year, maybe next...

Dang! I'm sorry to hear about the mag and carb issues! Dad and I will be looking for any other T-Crafters at the vintage cabin around noon on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
