I'm thinking of going with these guys for overhauling some cylinders. Does anyone have any experience with these guys? Any input would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

Have done two for me and will do the other two next winter.
Did a good job, and cost was reasonable.

They did the chrome cylinders on my uncle's Cont 0300A. 800 hours since overhauled in 1996 and compressions at annual last month were all 76/80 or better(cold). We have never had to pull any of them for anything and it uses/leaks a qt of oil every 8-10 hours(I really think it leaks most of it). They've done several other jobs for us too and always do excellent work and they stand behind it.

              Hi
I have had these guys do cylinders for several engines and they have always done a perfect job for me. I found that that the best way to deal with them is to call them, tell them what you want, then ask if you can visit. Most times that I have done this they have had a set of cylinders on hand, ready to go so I just exchanged cylinders (or brought home the ones that were cracked). The last time I was able to pick up a set prepared for an A-75. They use a cracked chrome process on bringing bores to legal bore. The break in process for cracked chrome is interestsing and should be executed "as directed".

Their shop is a thing of beauty. The last time I was there they were doing a gigantic set of Packard cylinders for a boat. It was a little like going back into the late "30's.

              Try "em, you'll like 'em!

received my 4 a-65 cyls back from harrison engine last week,
they did a great job reworking them, engine has never run better.
oil consupmtion the first 3 hrs was 1/4 qt.
had a 5 week turn around, they are very busy.
price is reasonable for what they did.
                very satisfied

Hi I just thought I would resurrect this thread. I have a set of 4 that I am looking to overhaul, sound like this might be a good choice. Anyone have any more recent experience with them? What are your thoughts on the two methods of chrome they offer, Nu Chrome or channel chrome? Which do you prefer and why?
