  • '39 BL65 upgradeability

So I was seriously considering that champ, but looked inside a Citabria, and it doesn't have nearly enough baggage space for what I need. I found a '39 BL65, with some nice mods (hyd. brakes, big baggage, vgs...) with an A-65 hung on front. For a really good price. I was wondering if the Harer (or whatever it's called these days) STC is legal to use on it. Thanks for the help.

The BL model is not listed on the STC. However, it is perfectly certifiable. Talk to your A&P-IA then give us a call at CAP. We'll work with you and your local FAA-FSDO inspector to get this done. See our web-page below.
