    It sounds like it is a moot discussion regardless of any sunlight coming through the wings. From his postings it looks like he is going to put his faith in the punch test regardless of any discussion here. He asked for our opinions, not our validation. It is his prerogative to disregard them if he so chooses.

      Richard...I have read carefully what everyone has written and I appreciate the interest and help from everyone. I intend to fly it and then punch it in April and see what gives. Since I started flying in 1954, I have flown some real dogs that were in license, including a Stearman that was annualed and sold to me with a broken spar. This airplane is immaculate and the covering is tight and in exceptional condition, inside and out. Its a 10. I feel its perfectly safe as did the former owner-builder, who flew it 600 hours. JC
