  • Looking for Alaska plane

This is out to the AK bunch.

My son Amos is nearly in the position to purchase his first "trainer". He keeps looking at projects in the lower 48 and I keep telling him to buy a flying plane. Please keep your eyes and ears open for something up there that might suit his needs ($15K'ish). He is an excellent A&P (no bias here) and really making a name for himself. He is not afraid of something needing work.
He seems to favor the 120/140 for now....I keep telling him to look at some Taylorcrafts. I will get him to join the forum so you can contact him directly.

    Thanx all and Happy Holidays!

    Re: Looking for Alaska plane

I've seen a couple real cheap 150s, and a Champ lately. But no 120/140s.

Mike, there is a fellow just north of Palmer a few miles that has a flyable 39 T-craft for less than 15K. His name is Dave Leisner 907-745-6969. I do not have any more info.

Someone sent me a photo of what they said was your plane damaged in
The windstorm last week Jim. My condolences if that is yours. It looked pretty bad. I lost a 120 Cessna years ago in a similar storm.

Mike. There is a T-craft for sale on the ramp on the east side of lake Hood I forget what the were asking but its been there several months. Steve
