    His engine 'sputtered' huh? OR maybe he had been watching Big rocks and Long props the night before and decided to give the water skipping technique a try.

        1 mph ground speed is the difference between hydroplanning and penetrating!!!! Not that I would know......

          Yes, the thread comments are worth serious consideration.
