  • Rib stitching cord?

There are a variety of makes and models of rib stitching cord out there. The STC I'm using isn't particular. Any pros/cons over the different types? Does braided do anything for me? - Mike

    Re: Rib stitching cord?

I highly recommend the flat style rib-stitch cord for rib stitching to produce minimum bumps over ribs, tubes, etc. Finishing tapes all lay down close to it much more easily. It is braided cord; I can't imagine any rib-stitch cord not braided, e.g. monofilament.

Mike, any effort you put into laying the "flat" rib cord down really flat... meaning not twisted or rolled thicker where it comes out of the holes, will make a slight but visible difference in the final result.
