    nice!!

That must be the Canadian F-18 that went down last week?

Rumor has it now the Canadian Air Force will not be seeking to replace their one and only F-18 after this incident citing " we're not too concerned.... the damage will buff right ouwwt".

When I was on the USN Test pilot School Maintenance staff we lost two graduates when they attemped to land an A3J Vigilante without flaps when the flap handle broke off. The porpoised on touchdown. Both ejected but landed in the fireball. Neither survived. Nice guys. Dick

            Re: Great Taylorcraft Picture

This photo for some reason reminds me of an old saying I heard from an old gray airline pilot...

"When they ferry the very last 747 to the boneyard, it'll be a DC-3 that comes out to pick up the crew."

I TRULY hope that somebody who cares will make that saying come true when the time comes.

I'm sad for the loss of the F-18, happy to see the pilot got out, and I hope that a career isn't ruined over it.

That being said, I think I can see that T-craft smiling as it goes by.
