  • Homer Flight

I took a day trip from Anchorage to Homer to visit friends on Wednesday. It was yet another truly exceptional day of flying in Alaska. Here is a video set to one of my favorite hymns...it just seemed to fit. You will see several active volcanos that are currently 'napping' along with the usual glaciers, lakes, rivers, mountain ranges, etc. Enjoy!

A beautiful flight to Homer, Alaska on a Summer day to see friends.

    Hi
I'm honored. It was a pleasure seeing the landscape and the choreography. Made my day. Came home tired and depressed, your image brightened my day.
    Thanks.

Well another of your great videos Jim, thanks. I put my floats on and we are headed out the cabin on sunday, which looks like it is going to be another good day weather wise. I sure hope it stays like this. When are your floats going on ? If its this weekend stop out.

Oh my gosh-that was beautiful. Have wanted to fly to Alaska for a long time and that makes it hard for an old South Texas guy to not to go now.

Wonderful video, Jim. I enjoyed the music too. My wife watched the video with me and she thought it was beautiful. She is not opposed to moving up there after our son is out of high school. 2 years. Thanks again for your time while I was there. I have not found the beer around Battle Creek yet. I will keep looking.

Off topic, but I am wondering what a Wasilla blanket party looks like. I see Sara has a new neighbor who makes no bones about being a window peeper. And I am thinking that her friends just might want to make him feel at home. Having visited the great state of Alaska and having friends up there, who by the way are not all pilots but contractors, I have a good feeling for the kind of independent individual that make up the bulk of Alaska!
