  • Going to Sun 'n Fun?

Haven't seen any ref. to Sun 'n Fun. (Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place). We're hoping to see some "real live" T-crafts to refresh our details memory as we continue our project.

Re: Going to Sun 'n Fun?

#1705 will be there again this year, barring any unforeseen disasters. I was going to fly down in a gaggle with a J-5 and a Stearman, but they bagged out already. I had a blast flying down last year. I'll plan on getting there Monday and maybe leaving Thursday or Friday depending on how sunburnt I am. Red stripes on white in the classics section. Please don't look too closely. I fly the old girl more than I primp her. 7+30 down and back. Well worth the trip.

I'll put a little info up in the window this year so folks will have a bit of an idea where the 70-year-old has been.

PS. Oh yes. I'm happy to have folks poke around all they want when I'm there, but please don't go opening doors and panels on airplanes when the owner's not around. Not cool. I'll try to leave pencil and paper so you can leave a cell or email addy if you want to get together at some point and shoot the breeze. I may even take some 'barrow washers with, depending on w&b!

Re: Going to Sun 'n Fun?

I'll be there, as mentioned previously, albeit without an airplane. I'll have a booth for my flap gadget in the "new" building E display hangar, which is southwest of the main displays.

Any and all T-craft folks are welcome to come by and say hello, you'll be the only people I'm not trying to sell something to !

          Bill,

I see your flap handle is being marketed by Aircraft Spruce! I'm sure that's a bit of a trade off situation, but impressive nonetheless! Hope to get a chance to meet you in person.

I'll be glad to meet you too Josh. If you're meandering around and there's a loud obnoxious carnival barker resonating over everything including a T-6 at full buzz... that'll be me (Nobody will believe this but I'd rather sit back quietly and have the people buy stuff without a big battle, but that stage has not been achieved yet.)
