    Re: NEW Taylorcraft design features

    Tim,
    PLEASE, don't misunderstand me.
I am in NO WAY advocating that
    ANYONE disassemble one of these
    classic airframes, please DON'T do
it. There are far too few of these
flying, we DON'T need to reduce
    their numbers further.
What I am proposing, as long as we
    are talking about dream situations,
is creating a faithful ( in appearance),
replica of our favorite way to enjoy
    the sky.
Thus would, in no way, reduce the
number of Taylorcrafts that are flying,
But would introduce a strong, classic,
    and more afordable representitive of
    this kind of flying. Brie

        Re: NEW Taylorcraft design features

i feel lucky to own an f22 had it long enough now to have a feel for it .
have vgs that should be standard safety equipment makes plane so much safer as far as control and making controls more solid in stall area speeds.
seats are great but could be changed to help visibility as in all t models .
flaps help and are great for flying when airspeed says you shouldn't be able to.
move flap handle overhead like top cub
f22 doesnt lose alt if you dump flaps quick, assumed all planes did ??
i think f22 as hole was a great plane for training market because like all ts you have to fly them.
more i fly it the more i like it and yes my heater works lol

You mean American Champion? As far as I know, they're quite successful.

The first 85hp Champ I flew in 1954-55, cost 1,700.00, almost new. How you get from there to the price of a 2009- 911 Porsche Carrera (used) is beyond me.
So, 55 years later and still about half the price of the top of the line Porsche!

              Hey Hank,
Did you see the cool L-2 photos that Danl loaded to
the Manu Sina Group? One of them is of the interior,
shot through the open door. That should enable the
guys to see if they can pour their "mature" bodies
              In and out of one.
As for the price of a Champ going halfway to the
Moon, yes, I know exactly how it happened, it's
              called LAWYERS. Brie
