  • Strobes (again)

Theres a kitfox on the field. The owner just installed REAL nice strobes, led type, gotten in penna. He has two positions nav lights AND strobes or just strobes. They are as bright as whelans, look good and the shape is exactly the same as my current BC12D nav lights which are wired but not hooked up to anything. His cost 300.00, Whealens are , I think, around a grand! I'm told that I can't get a set as they are not "Certified" for my airplane. His draw very little juice and I could run them on a small rechargeable battery. This type of rule is what hinders us in small aircraft and it needs to change. Also I feel LSA ought to include 150's 152', even up to and including a 172, or at least most two seaters! A 152 is alot easier to fly than a T-Craft in my very humble estimation.JC

        Re: Strobes (again)

I have obtained Field Approvals for Aeroflash Strobes on several ( non-T)
aircraft. Flight Strobe FS 4400 (under $200) works well a a single unit or Top & Bottom.
