  • The Taylorcrafter Company Publication

I am new to this site and i don't own a taylorcraft but i like aircraft and history, My question is how long did the taylorcraft company publish the taylocrafter for it's employees? I found a couple issues from 1945 and they are very interesting reading about the company there employees and the war.
The back page also features a full page photo of a taylorcraft airplane. So my question is was it published long enough that it's possible to find more issues to read or was published for such a short time that it's impossible to find and i should donate them to a museum?
    Thanks for any information.

    Hi rcnut,
Welcome to the site. It is always good to see others who enjoy preserving Taylorcraft history. Some folks on here may be able to answer your question more directly. My comment is that this sort of thing would best serve the Taylorcraft faithfuls if scanned and posted to the gallery here on the forum. This would enable more people to enjoy and learn from these items than in a museum. This is merely my own opinion.

Thanks for the reply, I would like to do that but it is a 24 page magazine type publicatation that would take some serious scanning and posting unless someone would know how to put it in a pdf file or something as i am computer illiterate.

If you scan each page individually, you could post them in the gallery as if they were individual pictures. I for one would love to see stuff like this posted where everyone could view it.

I have been in contact with rcnut, as he lives not far from our airport. I would be happy to scan and upload the material.

              Re: The Taylorcrafter Company Publication

We have most of the "Taylorcrafter" from the 1940's here on file at the Foundation and of course our own electronic newsletter has the same name . The "Taylorcraft News" was by the factory for the factory.
Link to Taylorcraft below , read from bottom up, the FAQ section of the web site www.taylorcraft.org has a bunch of stuff.

http://vb.taylorcraft.org/forumdisplay.php?f=34 read from bottomup This will give you the original Foundation newsletters published in the TOC news THEN go up to the top and click on Foundation Newsletters for all of THEM. thanks again Forrest

RE check the previous message , it has been edited for the explanation of the Foundation newsletters from the beginning and THEN the top thread has the Foundation newsletter "Taylorcrafter" since Feb 2007. Hope they are not too boring , but they are the truth as we know it!!!
