    [QUOTE=VictorBravo;53775]Mr. King,

    My comments were not directed at any particular article or author at all, and I apologize for any inference that way because of the thread subject. Honest. I liked your article and I'm awestruck by the aircraft. I'm as jealous and thrilled about your flying the Pitcairn as anyone else is. Growing up around the Old Rhinebeck scene... I'd even trade you some of my own childhood for that
    QUOTE]

    Bill, I was just stirring the pot a bit, didn't take anything personally. I figured that the people here would like an article about an old airplane like the Pitcairn. I agree about the general dumbing down of society, everybody seems to want the easy way out, which doesn't describe most of the people here, nobody says old airplanes are the easy way, which is one of the reasons we like them, isn't it?

    And thanks for the compliment wlas. They originally were going to have one of their writers do the article, and asked me to write 500 words on flying it, then after I sent that in they asked for 1500, then they said what the heck write the whole thing.

    Like some of the other great experiences I've had, the 'giro flying is thanks to good and generous friends, not to any great thing on my part.

      I want to sell my Sport Avaition collection. There are over 500 issues starting with Jan 1956 and running to the fall of 1998 I won't break it up. Dick

        Dick,

        Hope it works out for you. I tried giving my 1976-current collection to a couple of museums, but didn't get ant takers. I would suggest giving "craigslist.org" a try. When I posted mine for free, I had five people contact me within a few hours. A women came to pick them up from a small town in southern Wisconsin for her 19 year old son that had just started taking flying lessons. Everyone was happy...

        Good luck. I'm sure your collection is worth something. Craigslist is free, and good for local sell/buy/trade if you haven't used it before. Youngstown has a city listing.

        craigslist provides local classifieds and forums for jobs, housing, for sale, services, local community, and events

        By the way, you can list them anywhere you like, not just Youngstown. Pittsburgh and Cleavland might get you more traffic.
