Looking for a specific aircraft

Hello all...My Grandfather flew a 1940 Taylorcraft when it was new. In searching the N-Number, I found it is still registered and attempted to contact the owner. I haven't had any luck at all. Was wondering if anyone has information on this aircraft? The N-Number is 29627. I'm hoping to get a picture of it for my files. Thanks in advance for the help.

Why not ask somebody in the Auburn, WA area to check it out?

Thanks...that's in work as well. Have a couple of buddies who stopped by the local airport as well.

Harold Thompson
29045-51st Avenue South
Auburn, WA

It is a BL65, Ser.# 2469

Interestingly my '40, BC-65 is NC29624, Ser.# 2466

They came off the line only 3 a/c apart. Mine was manufactured on 12/10/40.


Also, I have a son, Dave, who lives in Maple Valley, not far from you. My wife also has a cousin who lives in Auburn. We get out there a few times each year.
