Has anyone mounted a beacon and if so where? I am interested in the Whelen LED beacons which only draw 1 amp at 12 volts. Although I have no electrical system, I do have a rechargeable battery to run the position lights. While I don't plan on flying at night, it would be nice to have a beacon for safety and compliance if coming home towards the end of civil twilight. My Taylorcraft has a welded bracket over the bagage compartment where the top braces come together and I thought that that may be where there was a beacon mounted previously (looking through the logs, my plane had a wind generator at one time, but now long gone, and I was told that it did have a beacon at one point in time). Any thoughts or suggestions?
