  • wing strut recurrent inspection

Someone said it was 4 years between recurrent inspections (x-ray) for un-sealed struts. But I just re-read the AD and it says 24 months. Am I missing something?

The AD states a maximum of 48 months. Not 24

The Strut AD was revised to allow X-Ray as an inspection method and is on the Taylorcraft Factory Website as http://www.taylorcraft.com/zencart/AD%202008-04-09.pdf

The original AD was 2007-16-14, the revised AD is 2008-04-09. The revision allows for 48 month inspection intervals instead of the original 24 months.
