So,,, am I asking for a major headache if I swap the 65 hp for a 108 hp? Do I need a different mount, and do I need to modify the cowlings?

    Thanks

    Re: 65 - 108

You must use approved data to modify a certified plane.

An STC is approved data. If you have one of those the job is mostly remove and replace parts.

A 337 signed off by the FSDO is approved data, but difficult to get for the most part.

The scope of this task is not small! You will need the wing tanks installed to have enough fuel for the 108. New engine mount, electrical system more than likely, move some control linkages, change weight and balance, different propeller, different engine mount and different cowlings.

IMHO it would be better to sell the 65hp and buy a model F-19 with the O-200 already installed.
