I remember reading about it "Looong time ago" as new muffler making aircrafts wisper quiet. Like I said a long time ago back in 1957 or so, in the old country.I loved airplane seens I was a kid.
The T- craft # 1 aircraft for me.

Forrest, you mean besides freezing and breathing lots of oxygen? You aren't talking about a special altimeter hookup are you?
Looks like a much larger version of the flash suppressor that we had on the end of our M-14's.

PS: I just down loaded the photo and blew it up a bit. What comes to mind is a gismo that would decrease the backpressure on the exhaust system and therefore make a few more ponies.Last edited by flyguy; 08-02-2009, 23:00.Comment

My dad told me that exhaust extension was some kind of venturi to eliminate the back pressure and increase the volumetric efficiency of the engine.
But who made it, and was it approved?Comment
