This seems to be such a good year for Taylorcraft restorations that I wanted to post another one. Forrest first Test flew her in 1977. It was taken apart at the factory in La Grange and the owner and I picked it up about 4 years ago. It was quite a treasure hunt for parts but thanks to the owners patience and working with me on how he wanted it done -It really is a nice little plane and she flies like a dream. Probably in a few weeks it will be flown back to Alaska-hope he sends me some pictures of it on skis and floats and some of the places he flies it.

Re: F19 restoration
Thats a real nice airplane Buell. I can't believe I saw it before it was covered.
I still am amazed at the stick with it attitude that you and Mark have to finish these planes so nice. Congratulations!

Re: F19 restoration
Mark,
Wish I could help with the Luscombe exhaust 337 but this F19 had a Cessna exhaust system installed back in 1984-if you decide to use it instead let me know and I can give you information for it.
Hi Mike,-I remember when you came by and gave me the Fairchild aileron travel template--Thanks again.Buell Powell TF#476

Re: F19 restoration
Mark,
I have a drawing for this and will be glad to horsetrade you for a DER approval and support for your 337. I have approved this before. I'll make it reasonable. Give me a call...

Re: F19 restoration
Terry,
Thanks! Today Doc and I will be moving my F-19 down to his hangar. The O-200 came with an undocumented Luscombe exhaust on it and the cowl was cut out for it. I actually have a genuine F-19 exhaust stack, but I like the Luscombe system. So I'll get in touch as the engine re-build progresses and do a horse trade - I like that.
We started on Doc's Aeronca also. It will go much faster than his T-craft since the spars are all in good shape.Best Regards,
Mark Julicher

Re: F19 restoration
Buell: Congratulations on a beautiful restoration...and I really like the color! As Mark mentioned, the F-19 is now in my hangar and we are working both that project and the 7AC together. We need to set a date to get together and BBQ! DocDoc TF #680
