  • Rudder stop adjustment

My rudder goes too far to the left and can rub the elevator before it hits the stop. I don't see any adjustment.

One of my buddies has a cub and he has an adjustment bolt. Another has a Tri-pacer and he has no screw.

I have a very small hole in the end of my rudder stop, but it doesn't look like it is big enough or tapped out for a bolt.

    Any ideas!!!

    Re: Rudder stop adjustment

    Hmmm,
There should be a short, threaded tube welded on the tail post if it is a BC12-D. A 8-32 threaded screw goes in that as an adjuster if memory serves me. I use hex-cap screws on mine. The screw heads stop directly aganst the rudder horn.
    Best Regards,

      Here's what mine ('46 BC-12D) look like:
I pulled 10-32 x .75" long round-head machine screws out of the two holes.
