    What is the correct "aircraft type" entry in a flight plan for a BC12-D Taylorcraft? Also, is this the same thing to tell Flight Watch for a Pirep.

        The official list of two- to four-character "aircraft type" contractions used by Flight Service and controllers is on a hard-to-find FAA website here:



        Attached is a little article I just recently wrote up for my EAA Chapter 135 newsletter about the FAA contractions.

            Canadian airtrafic controler as only taylorcraft F21 listed. Why ?
            Bc 12D with out electrics and tranponder is unkwon to whem!
            \What is an A 65 engine?
            NO Electrics ?
            What drives your radiao and GPS?
