I like the tail stand, too. Got any pictures?

That stand might almost be cheaper than buying all the beer for the airport bums.

Now that is clever: Cargo Straps.

Only a couple of suggestions offered, to an otherwise fantastic idea:

6 inch wide strips of used carpet (with the heavy burlap backing) instead of the cargo straps. The cargo straps can mar the finish, they're not designed to be soft. Old worn out soft carpet would guarantee some cushion and no scratches.

Looking at your wing hanging stand, it appears that with only a little extra effort it can be made to fold up the same way as an EZ-up sun shade device. And not take up so much room or need disassembly when it's not being used.

Does your stand allow installation of the struts in one step, or do you have to move the stand out of the way first?

If my carpentry skills were better, I would go for the folding capability. With cargo straps I can adjust the wing position up and down, however, carpet would be kinder to the finish.

I can put the struts on with the fixture in place and then remove one or two sticks to disassemble it and move it out from underneath.

so you were able to install the struts without removing any stand parts and you were able to move the stand without removing any stand parts? - Mike

                    Mike,
I can put the struts on while the stand is in place, but
I must do some disassembly to remove the stand altogether.

I did not try to engineer the world's most perfect stand. The objective was only to get the wing up in position safely. Since it is all put together with screws, it all comes apart in mere minutes using a drill driver.

Very nice stand! Just what I need.
I'm maybe a year away from hanging the wings, but when I do, I'm going to copy your stand. Thank you.
