  • clipped-wing cruise

"Angle of Incidence" reminded me that I wonder what the cruise is for a clipwing Taylorcraft with say 85HP? I have asked owner(s) at airshows and never have received a straight answer. Are there any specs anywhere that show the stall airspeed-climb-cruise tradeoffs?
    Always curious about that.

    Re: clipped-wing cruise

180 HP down to 150 HP will cruise at red line or above 141 is Vd the 85 & 100 HP ships usually have a flat prop for the shows and they only do about 105 to 110 . Put a better prop on for normal operations and you get 118-120....
