Alaska T-Crafters...we are planning to have a Spring fly-in BBQ at Skwentna on Sunday, May 3. For those of you planning to come to Anchorage for the Alaska Airmen's Trade Show this will be a great opportunity for you to get together with your Taylorcraft Brethren. You can take in the Airshow on Saturday or Sunday morning and then make the short flight to Skwentna for the BBQ. We will rendezvous at the fuel pumps at Lake Hood strip at 12:30 on Sunday. There is plenty of parking available at the Skwentna airport and it's a nice spot to hang out and do some exploring. Who knows, we might even do some informal practice for Valdez the following weekend. Attached is a photo from last year's BBQ along with a link showing a lovely flight to Seldovia today. There are several good shots of Mt. Redoubt steaming in the distance.
