The Rendevous is now only a month away. So that we can get a ballpark head count for food, who is planning on coming?? Will you be driving or bring your Taylorcraft?

I believe there are photos on this website from last years event if you go to search for "Sonoma". This is a fun event you'll want to attend, but let us know you are coming.

Richard- Thanks for sending out the e-mails... that is great. I'm the new kid on the block with regard to Taylorcrafts and I'm trying to help out. Last year was my first time to the fly-in. I can see that Ron has done a great job these past 20 years in getting the Taylorcraft people together, so I think we should all take advantage of this yearly event. I think we would be honoring Ron's hard work if we can get 20 aircraft to attend.

So let's get the word out

I'll try to come down, but probably won't bring the TCraft (I'll be in the Mooney)........maybe I can get my brother to fly the T down. I'll bribe him with Scotch and Cigars. That always works.

I don't know... are they gonna allow Cessna 172's in? I'm trying like hell to scrape off all the "no nosewheels allowed" stickers from my hangar door, the car, the rest room, my tool box, and my wife's undies.

If I can make it, I'll be there. Got a bunch of things on my plate that could easily screw it up, though.

dedrekon...If you add a plane ticket from Anchorage to Portland to go with the scotch and cigars I would have to give it serious consideration!

All- Well the Taylorcraft Rendevous is only a week away . Its time to get the charts out... get the check list out for cross country trips... charge the batteries for your radio & GPS... bring tie down rope and chocks... we'll be parked on the grass so bring some tie down stakes as well. Don't forget the suntan cream! How about a camera. How about a small folding chair or two for you and a friend to catch up on the past years events.

If your Taylorcraft is not flying yet bring photos... we want to hear the story.

If you plan to sleep under the wing, bring a pad and sleeping bag. A flashlight comes in handy also.

I'm sure you have a better check list then I do... but it's time to get ready and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. Let's work to get 20 Taylorcrafts there!!

Is anyone going to have a laptop computer there? I have pictures on CD of gatherings at Columbia in years past.

I will bring the scotch!
